Savage Oberon, king of the fairies. As featured in Cross Stitch Crazy! Deep blue blackwork motifs on pale blue evenweave linen make a magical pincushion - modern in style but historical in design. If you look closely at the corner - you can see Oberon's eyes watching you.

Elizabethan blackwork is traditionally worked in black - but here midnight blue suggests all the magical things that can happen on a midsummer night. Biscornu look great stacked - the last photo shows Oberon stacked with Marquis, available in my shop.

The booklet includes includes large easy to read chart, detailed instructions for working the design, and floss key listing DMC colors in Cornflower Blue.

Biscornu are little eight-sided tuffets. They are used for pincushions, ornaments, or my favorite – lavender sachets. I put lavender from my garden in with the batting and they smell just lovely every time I pick them up.
